A BRIEF
HISTORICAL OVERVIEW OF THIS MODEL
After WWII,
dieselization began in earnest, and EMD's switchers dominated the market.
EMD built 888 of their NW2 model. Each was equipped with a 1000 hp,
V12 567-A engine. Broadway Limited Imports has modeled the NW2 Phase V in
a variety of road names that are described below. These models are
accurate HO scale replicas of the real NW2's, and come equipped with our
new state-of-the-art sound system - Paragon2. The Paragon2 sound and
control system allows you to operate your model in DC or DCC
out-of-the-box. With the Paragon2 sound and control system, the
switcher offers authentic NW2 switcher sounds, and provides the operator
with excellent slow-speed control unrivaled in the industry today. Along
with authentic NW2 sounds, our model also has some fun features like
user-controllable crew chatter and yard noise. Please continue
reading below for additional details of the model and of the Paragon2
sound and control system.
